Ending the Year in Style: K&J’s Dreamy Tea Ceremony at Mon Cheri Venue

K&J’s wedding tea ceremony was the perfect way to close out our 2024 season—intimate, stylish, and deeply meaningful. Hosted at the stunning Mon Cheri Venue, the celebration was a modern interpretation of tradition, filled with intentional details, cultural nods, and joyful moments shared with loved ones.

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was magical. The space was transformed with rich red lanterns floating above, cascading fairy lights, and an elegant stage backdrop featuring soft curves and bold florals. The double happiness symbol stood front and center, framed by a lush arrangement of red, blush, and ivory blooms. The overall design felt like a beautiful balance between contemporary elegance and classic Chinese wedding traditions.

K&J welcomed their families with a warm and emotional tea ceremony, honoring their elders with grace and gratitude. Thoughtful offerings of traditional snacks and desserts—like dumplings, sesame balls, cassava cake, and sweet treats from Kape Republik and Juliebees—added a personal, cozy touch to the experience.

After the tea ceremony, guests were treated to a lively reception that included a lion dance performance to kick off the evening, complete with cold sparklers and cheers all around. The energy in the room was electric, and every moment— from heartfelt speeches to the late-night taho bar—felt true to who K&J are as a couple: joyful, generous, and so full of love.

We loved designing and coordinating this event and couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful way to end the year. Cheers to K&J, and to starting married life with so much love and intention.
